Our Story
It all started in 2013, not in a boardroom, but on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Kelden and Zach met online as teenagers and became fast friends, a bond that would span over a decade and across state lines—Kelden in Minnesota and Zach in Illinois (later Georgia).
As they both grew deeper into the world of crypto, they shared a common frustration: managing a portfolio was a nightmare. Spreadsheets were impossible to maintain, and the major competitors were slow, clunky, and offered zero customization. They didn't just want a tool for tax season headaches; they wanted a year-round crypto hub.
In 2022, they decided to build it themselves. It was their first attempt at a company, completely bootstrapped and community-first. Kelden, a software developer with a computer science degree from Minnesota who currently works for Dayforce, took on all of the development efforts to turn their passion into code. Zach led the marketing and community outreach, building the initial spark of what Crescent is today.
The journey hasn't been easy, but the support has been incredible. We were honored to receive $150k in equity-free funding from Microsoft for Startups and a year of free and discounted API access from CoinGecko. These milestones helped us build the foundation for what we believe will be the new gold standard in crypto tracking.
Tragically, on March 6, 2026, Zach passed away. Today, Kelden continues the mission solo, driven by the dream they shared: to build a platform that is truly better than anything else on the market.

Kelden is a software developer for a leading HCM platform with deep roots in the crypto space. He founded Crescent Tracking from the ground up, creating the brand, building the product, and leading all aspects of the business from development to operations and finance. He now drives the vision, product direction, and growth of the company.
Zachary J. Carson

Zach was more than just a Co-Founder; he was the heartbeat of Crescent Tracking since its very inception. From helping name the company and conceptualizing our first ideas to driving our product direction and shaping our brand, Zach’s influence is woven into every part of what we do.
He was an essential partner and a dear friend. He led our community outreach, social media, and marketing with passion, always ensuring our early community felt heard and valued. His legacy lives on through the platform he helped build and the countless lives he touched both within and outside the company.

- Resilient Spirit: A testicular cancer survivor who dedicated his time to helping other survivors through the Testicular Cancer Foundation (TCF).
